Hi! We are Katy and Eugene, two freelance videographers working between the UK and SA (and some places inbetween)
We make short films that feel like you and help your business grow.
Our films highlight the real and human side to your business, capturing the wonderful bits of the everyday. Leaving your audience with a sense that they have experienced a part of your brand and have a deeper understanding of your ideas and passion.
We understand that marketing is simply storytelling and the key to growing will be to create stories: true stories, helpful stories, beautiful stories and video is one of the best ways to do this.
When your message is genuine, you create a connection with the right people and everything becomes easier.
We champion community, conservation and creativity and so do the people we work with. Whether it's a social enterprise in Kenya creating employment and supporting education in the community through sales of their tea and coffee. Or a creative knitwear business in Scotland which considers sustainability and the environment in their production process. In the past few years our work has ranged from filming bat conservation projects in Malawi's capital Lilongwe, handwoven rugs just outside Cape Town and safaris at Balmoral Castle in the Highlands of Scotland.
Some of our recent films...
We love making films. Before it became our profession we'd make films of our journeys and day to day life and are fascinated with the process of filmmaking. From the initial spark of an idea turning into a compelling narrative, to the capturing of the beautiful light, movement and sound that all come together in the edit.
From our clients we've learnt that comissioning a videographer can be a bit of a daunting task, it's difficult to decide what to include. Do you need a script? How long should it be? Where should you be sharing the video? We are happy to guide you through the whole process so you can feel relaxed and have fun!
Katy studied Communication Design, specialising in photography and film at Glasgow School of Art in Scotland and Eugene studied Field Guiding (safari guiding) in Limpopo, South Africa. We met in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, when we were both working there and started Munjiri Videos. Munjiri means warthog in the local language and if you have ever watched a warthog run you will know how magnificent it is! When we aren't filming videos for our clients or random happenings in life, Eugene will probably be birding and Katy will be doodling or going for a swim!
We work all over, but are based between ...
