Hi, we are Katy and Eugene. Two videographers, who help your business grow, by telling your real, down to earth story.
Working with people and organisations who champion creativity, community and caring for nature.
We champion community, creativity and caring for nature and so do the people we work with. Whether it's a social enterprise in Malawi providing agroecology training or a creative knitwear business in Scotland which considers sustainability and the environment in their production process. In the past few years our work has ranged from filming botanically dyed textiles in the Western Cape, safaris in the Highlands of Scotland and a shepherd and his sheep in the mountains of central Portugal.
We all think about the world, our lives in terms of stories, very few people think about it in terms of equations or numbers or statistics. Even when we are sleeping we are dreaming in stories. Telling stories is how you get people interested in your work and video is one of the most engaging ways to do this.
We understand that marketing is simply storytelling and the key to growing will be to keep telling stories: true stories, helpful stories, beautiful stories. Our films highlight the real and human side to your business, capturing the wonderful bits of the everyday. Leaving your audience with a sense that they have experienced a part of your brand and have a deeper understanding of your ideas and passion. When your message is genuine, you create a connection with the right people and everything becomes easier.
Check out what's been happening ...
We love working and collaborating with grassroots organisations and small businesses, but our videos have also been shared by people and organisations with larger audiences such as Michelle Obama, Anthropologie and BBC news. Before filmmaking became our profession we'd make videos of our journeys and day to day life and are fascinated with the process of filmmaking. From the initial spark of an idea turning into a compelling narrative, to the capturing of the beautiful light, movement and sound that all come together in the edit. Capturing the beauty in the everyday, immersing ourselves in situations, not imposing.
Some of our work...
From our clients we've learnt that commissioning a videographer can be a bit of a daunting task, it's difficult to decide what to include. Do you need a script? How long should it be? Where should you be sharing the video? We are happy to guide you through the process so you can feel relaxed and have fun.
Katy studied Communication Design, specialising in photography at Glasgow School of Art in Scotland and Eugene studied Field Guiding (safari guiding) in Limpopo, South Africa. We met in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, when we were both working there and started Munjiri Videos. Munjiri means warthog in the local language and if you have ever watched a warthog run you will know how magnificent it is! When we aren't busy filming, Eugene is likely to be birding and Katy is likely trying to grow plants.
