Baabuk source the wool for their sneakers from Portugal, where the sheep are certified mulesing-free and live in Serra da Estrela National Park, the largest protected area in the country. Baabuk chose Portugal’s historic Burel Factory to process the wool because of its commitment to the community of the area and its long wool making tradition.
